DOT CENTRE................
The Government of India in a Scheme “Involvement
of non governmental organization in the Revised
National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) and
selected 14 hospitals of Varanasi district. Our
hospital is one of them.
Program started in our hospital and it is running
satisfactorily and also earned commendable remarks
from the Chief Medical Officer of Varanasi during
Appraisal Meeting of 2nd quarter on
18.7.2007 on DOTS. Our hospital is actively
involved in DOTS (Direct Observation Treatment for
Sure cure) a scheme of the Govt. of India for sure
cure of T.B. We are catering 88 thousands of
population with the objective to act uniformity in
diagnosis, treatment and monitoring through DOTS
so as to maximize cure and stop the spread of
tuberculosis.
Out of 3555 outpatients we have picked up 363
patients as DOTS positive. All 363 patients were
sent for sputum and smear test and managed for
sure cure.
